Ok. I know, I know. It’s been 9 days. And no, I didn’t fall off the face of the planet, but thanks for asking. November is cray-cray, right? With seemingly 500 birthday’s to keep track of, Thanksgiving prep, and Christmas shopping this little lady has been one busy bee. But I’m here now, and that’s all that matters. lol
In this season of life I’m reminded how much I’ve matured. I’m a grown-up now. Imagine that.
I say this because I want a puppy. Moreover, my son wants a puppy. But we’re holding off because he may want a puppy, but I’m the one who’ll have to take care of it. And with two tiny senior dogs in the house already, adding one more to the mix just wouldn’t be fair. But I, I mean he REALLY wants a puppy. Romps through the leaves would be that much more fun if he had a cute floppy eared friend to do so with.
When I met my husband I had a mini-farm. Literally.
I had a riding horse, a miniature horse, a 300lb. red sow, a potty trained goat, 5 chickens, 2 Muscovy’s, 5 pekin ducks, 2 runner ducks, and 10 rabbits. But that was nearly 10 years ago. Now, I know better.
I’m no longer substituting my desire to be a mom with various farm animals. Because I AM a mom, and the latter is completely unnecessary. But alas, WE want a puppy. Oh, being a “responsible” grown-up isn’t as fun as it sounded when I was 14.
